Term1 - 2012 - Weeks 5-10

I have used the websites below with Year 7 for a bit of fun
Look at http://www.britishmuseum.org/explore/young_explorers/play/piece_by_piece.aspx

Use this site to understand how archaeologists would uncover sources and then ask a few basic questions about what the sources can tell us about the society

To also look at how size might impact our understanding have them look at
http://www.britishmuseum.org/explore/young_explorers/play/little_or_large.aspx

Game from the ABC which looks at the methods of archaeology and the need to be careful

This is a podcast site from the BBC it contains a lot of good stuff that we could use particularly with the brighter kids who finish class early and can then use these to help extend them. What we should really do here is begin downloading appropriate podcasts so that we can place them on the network.

HAVE A LOOK AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK.

Also we should have a look at
http://thehistorynetwork.org/ it has plenty of stuff on it too but we may have to pay but this is definitely possible if the podcast is valuable.

Have added a new video and worksheet on german internees in WW1
